As a big fan of George Orwell, this line from Down and Out in Paris and London (I’ve got a passion for reading about other’s live, particularly the downtrodden) has stuck in my head forever. It’s comforting to know what humans can stand and how strong they truly are.
My depression has creeped on in the past few weeks like a BP oil spill of dark numbness through my veins, but at least I don’t have anxiety about the depression this time (now that’s a vicious cycle). It’s here, I can handle it, I’m strong. Time for yoga.
